Dear Client,
Thank you for choosing ‘Evatt & Bullock Co.’ for your event.
Your Event:
Once your event has been organised and a menu has been agreed, also a plan for the event finalised; we will send you a quote online. From which you can ACCEPT/DISCUSS/DECLINE.
Once you accept our quote, you are committed to follow through with your event as planned. Accepting the quote online, also acts as acceptance to the terms and conditions of this agreement below. After acceptance of quotation, we will then send you an invoice for a deposit payment of 20%. Payment details are displayed on the invoice. Once the deposit is paid, the event is secured, however, if the deposit remains unpaid, we reserve the right to continue taking enquires for that date.
Minimum Covers & Spend:
We require a minimum cover level of 6 persons or a minimum spend of £500, for any private chef
catered event.
Your Quote:
Your quote reflects what we have agreed to provide for your event, including any additional charges.
Additional Charges:
Hire Equipment:
If we are required to hire equipment, glassware, cutlery, tableware, linen, tables, chairs,
decorations etc. These items shall be added to your quote and will not be included within the price
per head for the menu. All hire equipment is owned and remains property of the hire company, we
‘Evatt & Bullock Co.’ accept no responsibility of breakages or damage to hire equipment. By
accepting your quote and this document, you are agreeing to settle any extra payments to cover
breakages or damage to hire equipment.
Mileage Charges:
We shall add a mileage charge to your quote of £0.75 per mile. This is to cover travel to and from
your event location, from our registered business address (listed above). If we incur any unforeseen
mileage during our catering activities at your event, this will be added to our final invoice stage
at the same rate.
Service Charge:
We add a compulsory service charge to our quote of 12.5%. This service charge covers our planning
time, our investment in handmade crockery, cutlery and our equipment transport. This does not
include service or ‘tips’ for our staff.
Local Water:
If required, we can supply local water for your enjoyment. Our water is charged at £1.50 per bottle,
the accurate amount that you consume shall be added to your final invoice.
Local Florist:
If required, we can decorate your table with help from our florist. Costs for this depend on
requirements.
           
 Payment Terms:
 •Our £200 date reservation invoice is due for payment upon requesting to reserve the date.
•Once the quote has been accepted, our ’20% pre-payment invoice’ is due 7 days after the invoice date.
•Our ‘final invoice’ is due 7 days after the invoice date.
•Our invoices must be settled with GBP, and paid via bank transfer into our designated business account (listed on our invoice). PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHEQUES.
For all late payments, we charge a weekly late payment fee of 2.5% of the total invoice. If the 20%
pre-payment deposit is not settled before the event is due to take place, we reserve the right to
take further action to obtain the sufficient funds.
PLEASE NOTE:
May we ‘Evatt & Bullock Company Limited,’ ask you to consider our time in preparing your event; we
also ask you to think carefully before accepting our quotes and ask any questions that you may have
before accepting.
Cancellation Policy:
As all of our events are tailored to you, our date reservation deposit and initial deposit of 20% is NON-REFUNDABLE. This is to cover our planning time and costs, cancellation of any staff booked for the event and cancellation of any hire equipment already booked for the event.
HOWEVER, If you cancel within TWO WEEKS of the event date, we will send you an invoice for the FULL amount of the event cost.
Force Majeure:
In the event of force majeure, the obligations of both parties under this agreement and quote will
be rendered within the scope of force majeure and its duration. Neither party (the caterer or the
client), will be liable for inadequate performance to the extent caused by a condition that was
beyond the party’s reasonable control. These conditions include, death, natural disaster, acts of
terrorism, riot, governmental action or global pandemics (including COVID-19). The party claiming
force majeure shall notify the other party immediately where possible, either by telephone or
writing. In the event of claiming force majeure, we (Evatt & Bullock Company Limited) shall do our
upmost in securing another company to take over our responsibilities in relation to your event and
this agreement.
