“Great things in business are never done by one person. They're done by a team.”

Our Team
Harry Evatt Bullock
Evatt & Bullock Co. was founded by chef Harry Bullock. As such a passion for food was developed in younger years, Harry has spent the best part of his life working in professional kitchens, honing his skills along the way. Harry met his business partner Ben Tagg in March 2025, who has since become joint venture owner in E & B, the two continue to push Evatt & Bullock on a daily basis.
Harry has worked and spent time at the likes of prestigious 1* Michelin - La Becasse, 3AA Rosette - Fishmore Hall & 2* Michelin - Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons. His last employed position saw him run the kitchens at The Coach House in Norbury; achieving 2 AA rosettes within the first 3 months of the doors opening - the youngest chef in the country to ever win this accolade. This led him to attract the eyes of Harden’s Guide where he achieved 5/5 for exceptional cookery, The Saturday Times ranked him 8/10 and Michelin even knocked on the door. In previous jobs, he got The Pound Inn into the Michelin Guide in 2016.
Ben is a retired tech entrepreneur who frequented Ludlow to visit his brother who lives nearby. In 2018, Ben purchased and took on the huge challenge of renovation the Castle Lodge in Ludlow. Harry and Ben’s paths crossed at a book launch in spring 2025 by coincidence, and they began talking about potential opportunities at the Castle Lodge. They are now both joint venture owners of the Castle Lodge Ludlow, and are an inspiring force - watch this space.
