If you haven’t had chance to try one of our cakes yet, here is a little teaser as to what you can expect. Firstly, the fruit has been soaking for two weeks, in Ludlow Spiced Rum, to ensure that it’s plump and juicy before we bake. Packed with fruit, Clee Downton eggs, vanilla, Tulakalum chocolate, hand churned butter, almonds & spices. Then, throughout November & December, our cakes enter a weekly feeding ritual; a careful process of lovingly soaking (Ruby’s favourite job of the year). Finally, the week before Christmas, the cakes are decorated with a generous layer of marzipan, even more glazed fruits and nuts. They are then packaged in the most elegant box & ribbon - a true signature E & B product.
